A little Inspiration

   My favorite thing to do is encourage a sister in need. I write every quote to inspire and encourage me. I don't need to encourage a crowd, as long as one person can be inspired that's all that really matters.
This is a year of SELF GROWTH and WALKING IN MY DESTINY. In that light i am not letting any road blocks deter me and neither should you my fellow mamipikins.

Some of my personal favorite quotes are;
 ( All quotes written by Eurykah Veranyuy Fon Ndumu )

1. Every woman must learn to be assertive. How else are you able to make and keep real friends without carefully looking beneath the immediate smile and sometimes very vague conversations. Why waste your time building and creating bonds that are suitable only in times that call for laughter, the true test of a friendship comes when there is a moment that requires you hold someone else's hand. Evaluate and re-evaluate your friendships!

2. Don't dance about your success if you cannot be a helpful resource in your immediate community.

3. A coward is that person who talks bad about your hustle and cant even hold down a hobby I'm just saying, don't let a coward stop you from keeping that dream alive

4. The best growth is from within. Growth on the outside is all for spectators while inside growth and maturity is for you... Lets focus on making the inside right and it will reflect on the outside without you putting up an act.

5. Don't let anybody intimidate you!
Look at them straight in the eye when you hold a conversation with them! People can sense your insecurities and try to play around them, your flaws are for you to know and work on, and not for someone else to use as ammunition!

6. Nobody can teach you who you are, people can describe certain parts of you.. but who you truly are is something you have to learn yourself. In learning this you discover that you are truly fearfully and wonderfully made. That theres only 1 you for a particular reason and purpose.

7. If you are looking to succeed you better build a bullet proof mindset because you will need it, and if you have no haters you are definitely doing it all wrong

8. Take control of your life and your happiness! No other human-being is capable or equipped with all that it takes to truly keep you happy. They can make you happy but keeping you happy has to come from within you.
Start by living a life that truly reflects your inside.

9. Be the biggest motivation to the people who say you cannot do it. Ive learned that people hate what they don't understand and what they cannot achieve. All spectators need a great show, make it worth while by being; persistent, consistent, focused,hardworking and apologetically pleasant about your craft.

10. A Strong woman is consistent! She knows her worth, she does not come in many versions, her word is the same today and tomorrow. She is not influenced by societies norms. You can trust her word, she is the foundation of every gathering, a strong woman does not need constant assurance, she has great self confidence, a strong woman is a woman who is not broken by a few roadblocks. A strong woman fears and Honors God, she makes him in the center of her every decision. A strong woman is honest and Loyal, a strong woman accepts her destiny and walks in her purpose.

A strong woman is a phenomenal woman!

We must stay strong inorder to be dynamic mothers, wives, sisters, aunties and more. We must lead by example and it starts with self Love, and self confidence. Remember your kids watch you more than they listen to you.

 On a side note my daughter asked me if she was famous. I paused and asked her why she thought she was famous, her response " well not everyone was born on Valentines day you know ".

Kisses,

A little something for you to smile:)

In the spirit of the Season

    So today is very special for me. Yeah yeah i know its Valentines day but I am talking major celebration as in my Princess turns 7. The only child who can plan her own party including guests, entertainment  and more.

  7 years ago in a winter storm like the one we have today I became a mother. My valentines day had forever been changed. I gave birth to my first child, my love, my everything, my genius, my sweetheart and ever loving Neh Asheri. I went through the most pain and it was the best pain anyone can ever feel. Nene came and my life has never been the same. She came and gave me hope for a better tomorrow, Asheri is love, she brings out the very best in all those around her. Papa God may your name be forever praised, there is no greater JOY than the joy of motherhood.
Thank you to all of Nehs Aunties, Uncles and grandparents for all the love and support.
My Neh you wont ever lack, and this world will never forget your name.

     No mamipikin left behind, we must DREAM and DREAM BIG!!!
I Found my self at a car show and the rest is history. I prayed, cried, laughed, and prayed again.
The only thing i did not do was ask for the keys to take the cars home with me. How else do i explain the fact that my dream car ( well its my immediate dream car, because my taste might change depending on my level of blessing ) was right there for me to sit in and declare ownership in Jesus name.
No mamipikin will be left behind this year.

( Don't I look like those models that stand by the cars to distract our Husbands haha  )

Serious Prayers going on right here!

So we have about 20 more hours in this day. Please go ahead and give YOURSELF a treat.Watch that movie, buy that dress, read that book, call that crush, tell that man you love him, and just be FABULOUS!

 Don't wait for anybody to make you feel special, you might just be waiting for a long time.

Happy valentines Day to YOU.
Love you all dearly.
Kisses,

A not so regular Tuesday

      A very special Tuesday at my home. Its my wedding anniversary! well this whole month is special. I have tons of people to celebrate in February and I get to watch Superbowl and eat without counting any calories. I can also use the word "turnt up" without any shame haha.

With  a FAB mamipikin at my superbowl party.
(I call her "boh" but that's a story for another blog entry )

Well something even more special happened today. I got to go to my first MOPS meeting.
 (mothers of preschoolers meeting). The first of many more to come.

    I have been waiting for a spot in this christian based mom group for a while and finally got an opening at my home church and I cannot tell you how happy and excited i was this morning. I will show you how sharply dressed i was was, but there was no body to take a picture of me this morning haha ( honestly i was a little sad because i sure took my time this morning  to make sure this mamipikin was not left behind ).

I was completely fulfilled as i sat in the group. The guest speaker was completely awesome. I even took some notes for you my Fab " mamipikins ".
" Become connected with how you feel. How you feel is different from your opinion. As a mom you need to identify your feelings and address them. If you don't address them you can not be an efficient mother to your children "
Assorted refreshments
fellowship

   So i heard my nephew telling my kids that his mommy was having a baby. I tiptoed to the door to get more details haha.. Just as I came closer i heard my 5 year old tell him " but why is your mommy having a baby? you can have my baby sister if you want " hahaha i could not hold it i almost passed out laughing because he was very serious and my nephew was seriously contemplating on how they could do that.
This same morning i heard my 6 year old telling the younger siblings that they were her "butlers" haha.

 Don't think too hard i don't think any of my siblings are having a baby anytime soon, I believe that my darling nephew is just merely stating his hearts wishes.

Did you see this?
My sister gave me these and i cannot get over the wine labels..
She had an entire speech to go with them. Who can guess the what the speech was?

kisses :)

Hats off to looking absolutely FABULOUS

   We are so excited to feature a FAB mamipikin this morning. She is so "HOT". I asked her to give us some tips on how to stay on top of our game. She just had a baby 3 months ago and I must say she is doing something right!
"I am a new mommy of baby girl, a student and fashion blogger for www.akellochic.blogspot.com First of all I want to say Hats off to all the mothers out there. I have developed a deep sense of respect for every mother now that I am one. The changes our bodies go through (yikes), carrying life for nine months and most importantly the love we have for our little ones is truly beyond me and a blessing from God. I can truly say I was blessed to have had my mother around( who is still around) when I gave birth 3 months ago. It made my experience and transition into motherhood much much easier and It's a plus that she helps with baby sitting.. lol (love you mommy "

I asked this hot mamipikin what she did to look so fab, Her response;
" Like most new mothers I was so concerned about my weight and how I looked in my clothes. My body was transitioning, and I felt like I was in my forth trimester lol yeah ISSUES!! So I went for drapery tops, dresses that had Ruching detail on them, empire waist dresses and the ever classic slimming color, black in most of my outfit choices anytime I needed to step out. In addition to breastfeeding, I hit the gym after my doctor gave me the go ahead and followed a healthy diet. This helped me lose almost all the unwanted baby weight. I still have a few more pounds to go; before I get to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I believe in baby steps and progress over perfection. " Naboombe Mapande
 Well it  all works. Take a look for your self;

We want to stay on top of our game so;
Please check out blog akellochic.blogspot.com, follow her  on Instagram @akellochic like her on fb akellochic.facebook.com for outfit details, and all things fashion.

   My very popular 6 year old asked me if daddy was going to get a babysitter and take me on a very romantic date on valentines day? I was soooo scared to ask her what romantic meant.
Somebody help. This kid is not the average 6 year old.

Kisses,
